SAN MIGUEL
Dedicated to his favorite neighborhood not only because he was born there but also because this ‘’barrio’’ brings to mind vivid memories of interesting childhood experiences like pulling the rope to ring the bell which announced mass at the old Catholic church (now rebuilt ) up ‘’ la loma’’. And remembering the old lodge hall at Calle P where he attended his first day of school. This song is written in Montuno style with an underlying Tamborera feeling throughout. There are two ‘’ Brincos’’near the end.
lyrics
Sei Vienes de Calidobia o nasiste en Colon.
Si bailas el Tamborito, esta es tu cancion.
Si vienes de Rio Abajo o de decualquira seccion,
Quiero que escuches la una de mi linda cancion.
A san Miguel, barrio que siempre he querido.
Eres centre de amore e inspiracion
O San Miguel, barrio chiquito y tan lindo.
Para Siempre te dare mi devocion.
